1/72 Sherman Firefly Vc Dragon - Workbench

Another Sherman on the workbench, but it's a braille scale this time. Quick built OOB (out of the box), without any modifications. I wanted to try slightly different approach with the paint job.

There were no surprises during the build, so could move on quickly to painting stage. First, grey primer Mr. Hobby Surfacer 1200, then black pre-shading.

It's rather standard approach here, but it should help to bring up all the shadows and highlights.

First went standard Olive Drab (XF-62), followed by by highlights.

I made highlights by mixing Olive Drab with Khaki (XF-49), to bright up normally boring and dull Olive Drab.

In next stage I'll be painting all the details, so STAY TUNED :)
