ID Monster, Brushes app. Drawn during a period of swearing and hair-tearing while trying to hammer a 200-page manga GN into shape. These days, being a 'letterer' is equivalent to being a pre-press department, with all the joys associated herewith. The work itself is time-consuming but mostly straightforward. The draining aspect comes from the frustration and time spent in communicating between multiple parties with varying degrees of aptitude in the processes involved, all of done via e-mail. I'm not a fast typist and tend to agonize over what I write, trying to make my comments as clear as possible. This is when it would be good to work in an office where one could actually talk to people face to face and see the material in question in real time. But at least I can draw my frustrations away. Mostly!
A friend of mine thought this would make a great plush toy. If only my sewing skills extended beyond re-attaching buttons and mending socks.

Both of these are typical late-night drabbles for me: Sloppy and lacking in imagination. Although that describes some of the work I do the rest of the time as well… I can be a very lazy artist.
